    Default I am enchanted!!!!

Some of you may remember me asking for some information about Vancouver, Canada a few months ago.
Well to cut a long story short - we're here.
We had a gruelling 10 hour flight from Holland, we arrived here last Friday.
WHAT A CITY!!!!! I LOVE it.
We have also been very lucky with the weather (or so I've heard).
My DH is here for a conference and lucky me was allowed to go along.
I had never been to Canada before and I am truly enchanted.
The most friendly people I have ever met - so helpful - everywhere.
It's not just the hotels and restaurants but even out in the streets. We were out for a stroll in the beautiful weather and when we walked by some houses, the people coming out of them nodded to us and wished us a good morning.
Never had that before. It's just plain nice.

Just a small joke between us - while we were walking around, my DH was amazed at how clean this city is. I mean REALLY CLEAN!
He got to the stage that he looked in the public gardens to try and find a weed. LOL.

So anyhow I thought that I'd just let everyone know that I am here and I have been to some amazing places and met some really, really nice people.
In my eyes, Vancouver has it all, nice people, clean city, absoutely out of this world scenery (it is literally breathtaking) and - for now -really great weather but I believe that that wil change very soon.
When we are home on Sept. 27th, I'll try and post some photos.
    Talk soon.

Hope you enjoy your stay! I miss the place. I lived in Richmond for a year in the outskirts of the city.
If you guy have any time in your travels you should take a drive to Kamloops and Kelowna.

Don't forget to go to the Island! It is beautiful there.

I am glad that you are enjoying Vancouver. I grew up south of Seattle and we traveled to Vancouver several time. I love the city. I do hope that you get a chance to visit Victoria. It is one my favorite places.
    Have fun!!

We visited Vancouver several years ago with our Daughter and Son=in=law. What a lovely time we had. It is a beautiful place. Try to visit Victoria. We took a speed boat out on the water and had a wonderful time. We also did a Horse & Buggy ride. It was great. Don't forget to have "English High Tea" It was an event...Liz
