I wish I had my 22 year old pre-baby body back but I can honestly say that at 30 I feel at peace with myself, like I'm a grown up finally. I don't know if that makes any sense. That's a really cute article though. So true about how we view each age differently.

George Carlin was the man! R.I.P.

It's funny that you posted this because I turned 31 today.
I told everyone I'm going around as 21 and well, I actually wish I was younger. I hate the idea of getting older. I hate the idea of ending up like every other woman in my family. I just want to be younger.
I'd say around 17. I had the most fun at 17-18 years old and even more from 19-20.Wife to DH since 10/31/2002!

I would like to go back to when i was 18 .. in college and about to be hit with mono shortly after my 19th Bday.. maybe i could have done something to prevent it even though to this day im still not sure how i got it.
The high school system had an insane outbreak of mono.. they actually shut down the school for a week to see if it would let the germs die out. My mom is a teacher so the only thing i can think of is my mom brought back the germs.
If i still got it i would push my doctor to put me on medical leave from school and work... i ended up hardly being able to swallow my own saliva let alone liquids and no solids for a week and spent several months in oblivion where i couldn't peice together whole sentances.
Only to have some of my professors sit me down once i was on the uppward turn and tell me that i wasn't going to be able to become a vet like i had drempt of since i was a kid because of the horrid grades i had gotten the last symester and that if i was sick i should have gotten medical leave.... Grrrr.. which i had several of the teachers in class and had told them i had mono and they saw me constantly falling to sleep in class. One of the teachers had taken me to the side during a lab test and asked me if i was okay and if i wanted to take the test later because i looked about to pass out.
That was a pretty grim time in my life where i was extremely drepressed and on the verge of suicide for a long time.. the only thing that kept me from doing anything was the fear of pain and upsetting my family.. but i was contantly thinking of ways to end it all.
I still have side effects from having mono... but atleast i can always look back and be thankfull i am better then i was then.

I love the age I'm at right now due to the knowledge I've obtained and feel extremely comfortable in my skin now. I also like my age because I have all my kids at home and my parents are still alive. At one time I really dreaded getting older now I'm more accepting of it but just don't like my parents getting older too! With that being said, I kinda wish I was a little younger with the ONLY reason being that we would've started the Dave Ramsey a lot sooner and probably be on BS6 or 7.

That article is really cute and pretty much true. I am one of those pushing 40 people. I don't think I would go back to a different age. I wouldn't want to change where I am now with my children and husband. Although, maybe go back a couple of years and not open that small business. Uhggg.
