I've found this too! Usually I only use coupons for kitty treats, olive oil and a few HBA items. EVERYTHING else I buy are raw ingredients. Seriously, have you every seen a coupon for flour? Eggs? Baking powder? Shesh >.<

It is funny, even half a century ago, if you DIDN'T act and shop thrift it was a social stigma. My how things have changed. I just reread "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" and there was a scene were shoppers would comment that the store around the corner had the item for better deal.

I've also wondered what are people in such a freakin' hurry for? It adds all of what, 2 mins, 5 mins max? Shesh, everyone needs to take a breathe and chill out.

Now if people could stop leaving their carts in the middle of the aisles I would be happy.

That article was written oddly, to me anyways?
It didn't flow or make sense?

Where's my coupon for Borax? For lentils? Every Wed and Sunday, I excitedly comb the paper for the coupons, and typically don't find ONE for any of the products I use. So I don't even rise to the level of a person who can use coupons, much less turn my nose up at them!

(I DID recently find and use a coupon for Chocolate Silk, though!!)
I don't use coupons much either because I buy mostly house brands (if they are the best deal). I'd like to learn more and maybe use coupons more in the future.

As a bicycle rider, I feel like I sometimes get looked upon as "cheap." Some people might even think bike riders are DUIs or don't have a car. The jokes on them! I ride my bike all over town, year round. But I have a nice car-that I paid cash for.

A few years back I worked at a place that was at the top of a big hill. We only had one car and I preferred to ride my bike to work. My coworkers looked at me skeptically. But when I left that job --not to go to another job-- but to take 2 months off to take a fun road trip all around the US, they weren't laughing at me then! They were jealous!
