    Your hiding place.

Where do you go to "get away" from it all? Where can you hide from everybody, everything, the noise and the kaos of everyday life? My, not so secret place but my quiet area is my garden. Hiding from bills, work, uuhhhh the wife, and everything else nothing beats weeding, watering and tending to the garden.

So fess up, where do you "hide"?

The gym, once I pop my earphones in or open a book the repetitive bills, budget, dinner, did I forget to do something track turns off in my head. Can't really hide at home, they are darn good finders.

I go out to play with the dogs. I think that takes me back to the carefree days of childhood and everything just melts away.

BUT since you asked, the shower. New rule, no one is allowed to bother me in there. Some days the water is ice before I get out!

If I go for a run (and then walk quite awhile after to cool down) I can get away.....and it calms me down so I can deal with the rest of the day. lol.

The beach. I walk down there by myself at night when I become overwhelmed or pensive.

At home, in Va, it was an overlook called Ravens Roost on the parkway. Would just drive up there and sit on the rocks overlooking the valley.

I find it harder to run away here, so many more people, my quiet place is often crowded.

Ya know Russ, I've always heard that you can bury alot of troubles out there digging in the dirt.

I am in desperate need of one of these hiding places. I really don't get away. I think that is my problem sometimes.

We have a couch in the basement that I often retreat to. If I really need to get away, I go for a walk or drive and spend so time outside.

I never really thought of it that way, but it sure makes sense.

Well it's not really a hiding place, but I like to sit under the tree, in the backyard with my little doggies. Dh and the kids know not to bother me when I'm out there.

At work. Some days I am happy to go to work and get away from it all.

Otherwise, I go for a walk.
