Lost my Job Today!!!
I just lost my job today, about 15 minutes ago. It was because some old bag, told my boss that she wanted to quit, because of the way that I confronted her at work!!! Can you believe that??? It didn't help that I was already at my final for being late to work, but this come on!! Just because this old bag, should of retired years ago, and is a pain in the you know what to work with, she says one thing and they fire me because of it!!
What really sucks is that we were just starting to make a dent in our snowball and getting money saved for our emergency fund!!
I am going to try to file for un-employment, until we can get things figured out. I will be getting my next check and my PTO and my money that was in my hoilday fund account, so that will help, but until then I am stuck looking for another job!! I hate looking for jobs, it is such a long process. I guess I could always be a stay at home mom again, but who knows!!!
My dh is on his way home for lunch, I guess we will talk about it some and talk more tonight!! I'll let you know what we decide!!!
Sorry if this is long, and sorry if I offened anyone by call the lady an old bag, but I just had to vent this out!!!

I'm sorry you were fired.
Maybe this is a yet to be realized good thing. Spending the day angry at the 'old bag' won't do much except waste an otherwise wonderful day. Take the kiddos outside and spin circles in the yard or something.
Tonight when your DH comes home, have a good dinner, relax a bit and once the kiddos are off to bed, make a pot of coffee and figure out the next step.

Better opportunities on the horizon.

While I'm certainly very sorry that you lost your job, if you were already on last warning for tardiness, it makes it a little difficult to believe that you being confrontational with "the old bag" was the only reason.
I'm also wondering just in what manner did you "confront the old bag"?
But I am sorry this has happened. If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

I confronted her about a pop order, she had told our supervisor that I told her that she could only take a few sodas upstairs for the doctor's because we would need some for patients over the weekend. Well she ended up telling the supervisor that we need more pop for the doctor's on Monday, so the supervisor went to the store to get some, keep in mind that our Pepsi order was coming in Monday afternoon!! I got a little angry, this lady was saying things that I didn't say, so at lunch I asked her about it and all she said was "whatever". I was mad and working on only 2 hours of sleep, due to a sick kid on Sunday night. So, yes I could of handled it better, but the angry and bitter part of me got the better of me!!
I guess I hit a nerve with this lady and she told my boss that she felt like quitting because of my attitude towards her.
My being late had nothing to do with this one, but the fact that I was already at a final for this is what made it termination!! I am getting over it now, and dh and I are going to figure out a plan tonight and work on it the rest of the week!! All I can do is move forward!!

I am sorry that you lost your job but it sounds like you are realizing it might be for the best. I hope that if you decide to get a new job that you will get one that makes you happy and if not remember there is no job greater than being a wife and mother. Good Luck

Sorry you lost your job, but I have to go with Greebo on this one. If i was already on the verge of losing my job for any reason I think I would have just held my tongue.

You got fired over a disagreement over soda?
There's got to be more to it. Did you totally lose it? Did you scream?
The tardiness warning definitely wasn't helping.
If you were making more than $60K, I'd consider consulting counsel to file a wrongful termination suit. If not, let bygones be bygones.
