Question about email services
I have a question for everyone!
I currently have a yahoo email account that I use primarily for forums, websites, catalog updates, recipe sites, etc. Basically everything related to the internet, while my actual isp email is what I use for family and personal email. I'm currently tired of using yahoo and I'm having some issues with certain things and looking for a change so my question is .... what email service do you use? And is it a good one? Hotmail, yahoo, gmail, etc.? What's out there that's good?
Thanks in advance you pack of crazy Villagers.

I love gmail. I use it as storage for pictures and addresses so if my computer ever crashes or I loose the disk the pics are on I'll alway's have a back up. There is so much storage you literaly never have to trash something someone has forward to you.
Plus I love how it automatically saves a copy of everything you send and if you are corresponding with someone all those emails will stay in one group as well.Last edited by KKCondrey; 09-26-2008 at 11:02 AM. Reason: spelling error

I have had Yahoo forever and really like it. I also have Gmail, but I'm not used to it, I guess because I really don't care for it. I think that may be because I'm so used to Yahoo. I have heard that a lot of people love Gmail, so it's probably just me

Thanks for answering. I guess I will give gmail the green light and hold onto the yahoo account through the transition lol. Thanks again!

I love gmail. I love the way it clumps emails together (showing received, sent, received, etc) all on one screen. Love the storage/picture back-up. Also, they have a great gmail chat feature. It's a little built in i.m. system that you can chat with your contacts who have gmail. Zac and I used it a ton when he was deployed.
You used tohave to have an invite to be able to sign-up for gmail. If that's still the case, let me know and i'll send you an invite.McD

Okay I'm definitely sold on the gmail then for sure if it gets this many votes. I'm going to sit down later tonight and begin the daunting task of signing up, transferring over all of the contacts, and going everywhere to make sure my addy is changed. Good thing I like to keep lists of such things for times like this lol.
Thanks again!

gmail has an application that will get your email addresses from other email hosts....I think.

I use Yahoo, GMail, and Live (a Hotmail alternative). I like them all for different reasons. But GMail offers the best Spam filters!

Another gmail lover here. Easy to use and you don't get all the junk mail.
