Parsimonious
How did you hear about frugal village?
Google's my best friend :-)
What interests you here?
I've been reading frugal village for weeks, and learned a lot. Not only about money management, arts & crafts, frugal cooking, but also about cultural differences.
What will you contribute?
Sometimes I might be able to provide an outsider's perspective (something that can be quite helpful at times). I know a couple of things about frugal vegetarian cooking, too.
If anybody thinks he or she is crazy for spending most of his/her income on useless stuff like books, higher education (and then some more and some more and some more), conferences, and scholarly journals, I might serve as an even worse case (If you're nuts, it can help to know somebody even nuttier than you are
)
Do you know any other members here?
Nope. Only lurking-wise.
How many kids? Ages?
None.
Tell us about yourself.
That's such a general question that it's really difficult to decide what I'm going to write here. I'm female, in my mid-to-end-20ies, live in Central Europe, have been a vegetarian for a decade and a half, and I'm horribly bibliophile. I consider "nerd" to be a compliment.
Do you own any pets?
A slightly mentally imbalanced cat believes it owns me.
Occupation?
Instructional design & teaching at university (part-time, temp, no job-security at all). I'm also a student (MA and phD).
Married or single?
Married.
Interests and hobbies?
Language and literature, working with gifted kids and teens. Books. More books. Did I mention books?

@Gabe: LOL! You've made my day!
It's cold but dry in Nuremberg today. At least that's what Google told me - I live 300 miles away
