Horse poor in Pittsburgh
Hello everyone. I have lurked here now and then and though I'd go ahead and register. Always looking for ideas on saving money.
Name is Cherie.
I own my home, such as it is, and share it with my two dogs and my beautiful new kitten.
I also own that beautiful big bay mare over there on my avatar. Isn't she purdy?
I work for a local restaurant as a cook, not a glamorous career but it pays the bills... usually.
Only two more months until the car is paid off and another 6 to pay for the engine that blew up last winter. About 700 in credit card I am paying off and then I'm debt free at last.
For the last two winters I have got by without buying heating oil. Not a fun or easy way to manage but manage I did and looking forward to doting it yet again this year. Hoping to find a good alternative heating source that is less expensive. Leaning toward a pellet stove.
Anyway looking forward to learning even more cost saving tips. And sharing mine.

Thank you all.
Yes I do love my mare. Baby is an American Standardbred. She was a race horse at one time but was injured young. Now she is my pride and joy.
Photo is by an amazing local, professional ,Photographer. A splurge two years ago when I bought Baby.
