It's time.....
.....to say goodbye to my pretty flowers that have looked so good this year
We are having a pretty good frost tonight and for the next few nights, I have been trying to save them but it looks like it's now a losing battle. I am also saying goodbye to the money that I put aside all spring and summer because I image the heat will have to be on within the next three to four weeks as it should be snowing within a few weeks now.
Has anyone else felt the change of seasons yet?

No frost here yet but alot of leaves are already down.
Hope you took some pics of your flowers during the season so you can look back on them & smile.

I would give my right arm to feel the change of seasons. I'm originally from ny and have lived in florida due to my husband moving us here along time ago.I am a winter person. I miss the fall and winter so much it makes me ill. It's very depressing living here where nothing ever changes. You know how some people need the sun to combat depression? I need the opposite! I love dark gloomy days, especially rainy days.I would love to see any of your fall pictures though!

I also lived in FL, a long time ago when my dh was with his job, we have moved to many places in the US and even though I'm originally from San Diego, I love seeing the changes of season where I live now. My husband retired (he put in his 20 years) and we have decided to stay in ND (the last place his job sent him) and farm. But check with me in January, I might be asking you for pictures of that lovely Florida sun when I'm snowed in by two feet of snow, and have to shovel it out

We are feeling the 'change' here but no frost yet. We are losing leaves now, nip in the air at night. Our roses look wonderful but I know it's only a matter of about 2 or possibly 3 more weeks before they get frozen.
LeeCee, I'd love to work out a house swap in the winter time with you

We had our first frost a few weeks back and it's been Indian Summer here in Calgary. The trend's looking like it'll follow the same pattern this year:
Warm and seasonal until the week of Halloween and then it's all downhill from there.
We're finishing up with cleaning out the basement and pulling out winter clothes, sorting through the tattered/outgrown pieces and cutting them into rags or saving them for hand-me-downs. We still need to get some window film for the trouble spots and make sure the furnace is oiled and has a clean filter in it. We also have to put the door sweep on the front door and bring in all of the outdoor toys for storage.
I'm pulling out the Halloween decorations tomorrow and getting my list together for Christmas now.Wife to DH since 10/31/2002!
