Vacation problems are no longer problems :)
I got send a few letters in the post yesterday about my holiday for next year, they changed my airport from a near-local one to one the other side of the country (about 100 miles away) i was shocked that they didnt even ask if it was ok.
So i went in today to talk to them i just told them i couldnt get to that particular airport and see if they could get my local (i live 10 minutes away from the airport)
They managed to book me onto the same holiday for 3 days later for the same price which was good as i paid £800 for it and the new costs would of come over £1000 but they agreed to keep it at the same cost it is paid for in full. (and more so that i dont cancel it and go elsewhere)
This is all great news to me, shame i have to wait 3 extra days to go tho
lol
Anyone else ever had a problem and the travel agent has actually come thru for you?Kelly & DH Alex ♥

Wow I cannot believe they would just change the location like that. We had problems once with checking into a hotel but it quickly got taken care of

Glad you got it all worked out.
Last Christmas we went to NYC and then flying to Key West for New Year's they switched our airport and I found out by looking online to print our tickets. They switched us from JFK to LGA. Kinda stinks because we had a place to park our car and a hotel that was close to JFK. It worked out great in the end though. Found a place on 15th street for $65. a night after the change.Debt free thanks to Dave Ramsey!
^scratch that...we have a mortgage now.

I was flying out of Reagan in DC just after it was reopened after 9-11. I got to the airport, my ride dropped me off and pulled away, I got to the ticket counter, they examined and examined my tickets and decreed that the flight had been moved to Dulles. What??? How do I get there? And in time? They got me on a shuttle - I was the only passenger but it tore off and we made it. Just barely.
They told me that they were not allowed to fly to Memphis from DCA. Eh? You must be some dangerous folks down there in Memphis - maybe I should be glad I was re-routed! Actually, I thought it was pretty weird.Donna
