Any other chicken raisers here?
We have 27 I think it is now, soon to be 26, short one hen pecking, kid attacking off timed rooster who will be chicken and dumplins!!

Nope, but I'm a wannabe! We live in the woods, and I'd have to have a Fort Knox of a coop, so I don't know if my dream will ever come true......

we turned a couple of old rabbit hutches into chicken coupes, it is certainly not ft Knox round here, but it works for us!!! I have some for meat and some for eggs!! I love it, the eggs are fresh and so is the chicken, you would not believe the difference in flavor!

I have a barred rock, a buff orpington, a black australorp, and an easter egger. Silkies are in the incubator as well as some mutt eggs from the farmer's market.

We have around 35 here but have to start selling off or butchering. I think I'm going to miss my ladies and the fresh eggs the most around here.
