Introducing Myself
I'm Katy, married to Jon and mommy to Jonathan (5) and Madelyn (turning 1 next week, eeek!).
I'm so glad to have found a place where I can share and hopefully pick up some more pointers on frugal living.
I grew up in a family that knew nothing about managing money. I spent the first five years of my adult life living way outside my means. That all came crashing to a halt when I was ordered to bedrest in week 13 of what turned out to be a very complicated pregnancy. Half of our income suddenly disappeared, along with our health insurance. We have spent the last year and half trying to learn to manage money. We have finally come to a point where we have enough income to begin digging out of our debt mountain rather than filing for bankruptcy, which at one point seemed inevitable.
I am here looking for ways to reduce our monthly budget so we can get on stable footing as quickly as possible!

Hi Katy
to the village! I think, if you'll dig around here and devote a goodly amount of time and effort to reading you'll find a lot of help. There are no easy fixes to your situation but with patience and persistence you can find the tools you need to succeed like many of us have.

Hi Katy,

Glad you joined us here." May we never let the things we can’t have or don’t have or shouldn’t have spoil our enjoyment of the things we do have and can have. As we value our happiness, let us not forget it. One of the greatest lessons in life is learning to be happy without the things we cannot or should not have."
