    Default Gold Parties??

Has anyone heard of this?? I was watching the news tonight and they were talking about it. If i could get someone who's done it that would tell their experience, boy, I'd sure like to hear it!!

Aside from that, if i wanted to sell off my gold, how do i know if what i have is gold? What kind of broker would i go to?

Missy, in Dayton there are several places that are advertising that they will test all of your jewlery for free. I am not sure about where you are at, but most jewlers will do it for you.

I have thought about going through some of my old stuff. Like my grandmothers and great grandmothers. The stuff that I wouldn't wear.

well, wish me luck, i am going to a dealer that was on tv here talking about the value of gold (was interviewed...in a good way...by the local news). i am gonna see if i have anything of value. if i do he'll buy it. with any of god's grace i will have enough of value to put gas in the car, some food in my kids, and maybe come cash in my pocket. If i am really lucky it will be a bonanza. I hate to sell the stuff...mom's, great grandmoms... but we are in a bind here.

I sold my stuff to an independent jeweler and a pawn broker this past June. I sold stuff that I got from my grandmother when she passed that I wouldn't wear and some old stuff from my teenage years. Made a few hundred.

Here is an article from a guy who was trying to see if "Cash4Gold" was a scam or not. It tells you how precious metals are weighed and valued. That might give you some insight as to whether you are being given a fair price or not.
