    Default A Rough Sunday Afternoon

Yesterday my son had someone come out and look at the goats and chickens. The guy ended up taking all the goats and 22 of the chickens. I can't tell you how hard it was when he carried my first kid off to the trailer. She began to cry out and her mama started throwing a fit. It took everything I had not to cry. Its gonna be so hard to look out into the pasture and not have my babies there. We still have about 12 chickens left but only because DH wanted those to butcher for our own use.

    Having to move really sucks.

Hugs to you. I don't think I would have lasted well in that situation.

aww I know what you're going through... it's like giving up your own family.
    i'm sorry and can empathize.
what are the options of being able to visit them every so often?
(I don't know where or how far away you're moving - but is this an option?)

In time, this will be easier... but just remember, those "furry kids" will never forget you!

Wow I can't imagine how hard that must have been for you. Animals do grown on you and become family.

I'm sorry you're having to go through that. I had a similar experience recently and I, also, wanted to cry when I saw a goat being taken from her mother. It is so hard to get rid of animals because we get so attached to them! It will pass, though. Hang in there!

I'm so sorry. I hope things start looking up for you. Letting go of your furries is such a hard thing to have to do.

I have goats and chickens myself, and your post really plucked one of my heartstrings. I cannot even imagine having to lose my little flocks. They are each and every one of them pets. My sympathies.
