Don't know if this is the right place, but.....
I'm a newbie and I just love this site. I recently seen the marketplace and added a few items, but I noticed today nobody looks at this, WHY?
Is this marketplace in a trial run or something?

I just think it's not widely utilized by many members of the forum community. I see there are posts throughout 2008, but nothing much else besides that.Wife to DH since 10/31/2002!

We had it turned off for a while and brought it back a few months ago. When you post to the marketplace, it automatically feeds into the for sale or trade forum as a post and is also featured at the top of the forum near the chat. The link to the marketplace is on the top menu bar, as well.
Members should be posting their items for sale in the Marketplace classifieds and not in the forum. This way, members have 4 ways for members to see their sale stuff versus just a single post.
Not sure how else I can make website features noticed. Most of them are listed on the feature list which is bumped up every time we add a new feature (at least monthly).
If you'd like to know what features FV has, please read this post:

We announce all new features as they're implemented. If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. That cracked me up Cricket. I say oops all the time. I make tons of mistakes on a very regular basis.

In all fairness, it has been moved around. It started out in the center of the top blue menu bar and was called "marketplace" and now it's under "frugal shopping" which we just added that category a couple of days ago. Also, it used to be shown at the very bottom of the forums with the news feeds. But we disabled them both because it seemed members were sick of FV bot posting news. LOL
And finally, sometimes the feed doesn't post right away. I notice your ads didn't automatically post to the forum. It's possible Gabe temporarily turned that off or the time has been delayed to run the cron job.If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. IMHO, it's too hard to locate. It's in a subtopic where I think it would get more traffic if it was in a category all of its own.
