Default I am way too easy to entertain!

So our local tv station runs a question of the day every weekday at noon. I answer sometimes but my answer never makes it on to the air....today it did!!! ROFL, and i wrote a long one too!

    the question was:

Regarding saftey with internet social sites, "What do you think can or should be done to protect young people who are using social networking sites like myspace?" Log in and tell us what you think and why!

    my answer was :

to protect them BEFORE they ever get on the computer. get the computers out of the kids bedrooms, put it in a common area. password lock your computer. only you can turn it on. block sites, the minute they appear to be hiding somehting, computer time is over. check their browsing history, daily if you have to.....yada yada i was way more eloquent but i can't find my answer to cut and paste it.

How very cool! You know I always say that you can do anything that you set your mind too. You always impress me with your crafting, your animals, your fun educational projects that you do with your kiddos. You are definately a jewel in our Village crown.

Good answer! My approach was to not have an internet connection in our home, and so all internet contact had to be done from the library (with time limits). I think yours is better.
