Spinoff - are there any movies that scare you now?
I never watched anything as a child or young adult that scared me but after I got married I did like to try to watch horror movies.
I have given it up since the only two that I watched scared the .... out of me.
The two are 'It' (from a book of Stephen King) and 'Rose Red'.
To this day (and I just turned 50 and have been married for more than 30 years) - I will NOT watch these or any other scary/horror movies.
What about you - anything that really scared/scares you on TV or film?

I can't do zombie movies. I have horrid nightmares. I know zombies aren't real, but my nightmares are scenarios where I try to find a way to protect my boys. I keep failing. They keep getting eaten by zombies. Or, we wind up starving to death. Or, we wind up running out of bullets and DH and I die.
Ok, off to bed with me, probably to have nightmares...Beak-1996, Toad-1998, and Q-1998

Honestly Predator and Silence of the Lambs...I like both movies but can only watch them on rare occasions....they more like disturb me than scare me.

My son brough down the first 'SAW' movie. It was ok but too 'bloody' for me. I like a good ghost story. Loved Rose Red.... but the slasher movies of today just bother me.

~As I said, I don't do scary movies but I found a few 'regular' movies scary enough that I wouldn't watch them again. "Braveheart","True Grit", "Magdalene Sisters","Color Purple","Roots","Queen"(can you tell I can't handle slaves and mistreatment themes?), and any movie that has a sinking ship.~

~BTW, I thought "It" was soooo funny. Not scary at all even though I hate people in clown makeup. I just kept picturing the actor as the Cardinal in 3 Musketeers(in which he was scarier, IMO) and the main character as John Boy. And the story was just so bad that it was comical!~

"Frailty" scared the living daylights out of me. It was about a guy whose father was religious fanatic who had "visions" of people he was supposed kill. These people, he said, were actually demons.
While not particularly bloody, it scared me because I could see somebody acting like that in real life. The move is very unnerving because of that.

For me Session 9 is very scary and psychological. Also I can't watch Exorcist. That movie is pure horror scary on the verge of evil. God just thinking about it now makes the hair on my neck stand.

I do not do any horror/scarey/ick movies. I have enough mental health issues without having to filter that stuff through my brain....

I can't watch horror movies. My husband looooves them, so I watched a few while we were dating, but our daughter goes to them with him now. I'm okay with zombies and vampires, but can't handle the unkillable killers (ie. Jason, Mike Myers, etc.) or ghosts.
I'm terrified of whispering children, so can not watch the Sixth Sense or Mazda commercials.
