Default stomping my feet and throwing a fit.

    ok, today sucks.

i go outside (mistakenly thinking my youngest is asleep) to weed the yard (thanks code enforcement and stupid neighbor) I enlist the help of my two oldest kids. Neither of them listen. Both walk off wandering around in space. this HAS to get done by the 24th. Gotta do it by hand because i don't have a weedwhacker. So i get frustrated with the older two not listening to me and go inside to get a glass of water...to discover my very awake three year old has taken scissors to my curtains!!!!

I don't know ANYONE i could borrow a weedwhacker from to make this better. I am going to be on the news with the fit i am about to have, I swear...

woman actually spontaneously combusted...news at ten.

I am very sorry, it's not nice to laugh but I can see it all in my memory.
When I was a kid my brother and I were pulling weeds outside with my mom. Neither of us wanted to do it so we were fighting and carrying on. My mother screamed at us to stop and started crying so what did I do? I yelled at my brother " NOW look what you did, you made her cry"! At that point my mother spontaneously combusted.
Now that I hopefully made you laugh we can get back onto the post.

You don't think that if you asked a neighbor , even one you didn't know well they wouldn't let you borrow a weed whacker?

About those curtains, you didn't really like them anyways did you?

I'm sorry, you need a great big

I am sorry to hear that you are having a bad day. Can you rent a weed whacker from the hardware store and home improvement store?

Gosh I am soooo sorry.... I dont think your youngest liked those curtains much but be glad it wasn't their hair or something worse.

Good luck with those weeds, have you tried looking on craigslist for a cheap one? If you purchased one at least you would own it.

Oh, I'm sorry for such a day. It doesn't seem like it now, but it will become one of those great family stories you whip out at holidays. Remember the time we were pulling weeds and _____ cut up the curtains. Then mom burst into flame. I am sorry hon.

We have a little radio program here where you can call in and ask to buy, sell, trade or barter services or items. Missy!!! As another poster said be glad it wasn't something worse and that your youngest didn't get hurt (kinda Pollyanna of me I know but sometimes ya gotta be or ya fall apart).

Maybe you could make the curtains into something else so you still have them. even if they'er in tiny pieces you could make patchwork throw pillows.

    Hope tommorrows better!

Maybe there's a weed eater in your dead neighbor's garage???

Like the others, I hope you get to get your weeding done and can laugh about this later!

Are there any kids in the area you could hire to weed for you? I know, it's cheaper to do it yourself, but it might be worth your sanity to get it done.

Maybe it's time to mow it down instead? growing season is just about over. But then again a mower may not fit where you need to weed. Got our first hard frost today.
Big hug, those kids of yours are something & sure keep things hopping. (really think you should write about all their um experiments.
    Sorry about your curtains.

Are you sure you don't have my kids? Except mine poured baby powder down the heating vents which we didn't find until it snowed in the living room....

I hope your weeds catch fire when you spontaneously combust! Maybe if you just give off a few sparks before completely blowing up...

Seriously, though, I hope things shape up for you!

P.S. After I posted this I realized that it might sound awful to people who live in wildfire areas... totally not my intention.
