What's Everyone Up To Today???

I've been so stressed out the past month, I've decided to take a break, at least for a little while, and have a young girl from school come over to do some fun stuff that she's been wanting me to teach her. She's wanting to make an apron for class and wanting to do tie dye. We may even make some 'throwed rolls' if time allows. Tomorrow.... I'll get back to boxing up more of our stuff.

We are clearing out our back yard and porch to prep for a gathering next Saturday. I got a good start on it yesterday and over the past 2 weeks so a lot of the difficult stuff is done and it is now... lets make it look presentable.

We are having an open house today from noon to 2pm EST, so I am just doing my last minute picker uppers and off I go at 11:30am with my doggies to the dog part and all that fun stuff.

Later on I will be making homemade apple pie along with baked chicken, white rice and pink beans w/potatoes.

I dont have much cleaning to do so it will be an easy day for me!

~Hubby is away at a football game and I'm wasting my morning on the computer. Well, actually I made a shopping list from 2 online circulars so not completely wasted. No cleaning for me today. I will be doing some baking and then heading over to my parents' house for a b-day dinner with my dad. It's cloudy and cold but I hope I can let the kids play outside this afternoon. My parents live in the woods and the trees around their yard are just beautiful in gold and red and orange!~

I'm getting ready to take the boys to an away soccer game (over an hour away).

While I'm doing that DH is going to give the new section of the kitchen a couple of coats of primer (so I can see if I need to fix the spackle anywhere). Then he'll throw a couple of coats on the living room as well.

I'll be price comparison shopping on sofa's and curtains again this afternoon. I'm hopeing to run across a great clearence "somewhere" on "something" we are looking for in my travels today so that I can feel like I've accomplished something. My last few shopping trips have been just idea gatherering/note taking. Nothing's knocked me off my feet. Today I'm hoping to return with something.

I've already got ribs in the crockpot and the house is picked up.

I better close up and get headed out the door.

I need to do a little cleaning, grade some papers from work, and then shopping with my dd who is home from colege for the first time. She is still not back here from spending the night with her bff from high school, but they had to celebrate homecoming together. Other than that, I don't plan on doing much of anything. I deserve a lazy day....I think. Terri.

Today is my youngest dd's 14th birthday
She had a friend over last night. Today we are having her party. But before that happens, I need to make a batch of brownies and reorganize our school stuff. I also need to clean up my bedroom and do some laundry.

This evening is KFC for dinner (birthday girl's choice) so no cooking for me. My parents are coming over for pie & brownies. DD is like her mama, she doesn't do cake.

I have a few loads of laundry to do. One is in the dryer already and the other is in the washer. One more waiting to be done. I guess I'll have a few loads on the weekends now with DH working out of town. DD18 and the High School band has a contest today in Warner Robins... about 2 - 3 hours away. We'll be heading there after lunch. They perform at 7. She is a senior this year and this contest and next weekend's contest are her last two.

I have to clean today. I don't usually mind chores, but the place has turned into a pigstye since we got back from our honeymoon a week ago. I have to unpack still, we went straight to work the morning after we got home and there was no time to organize before the work week began. Then I will empty the dishwasher, then load it back up, clean the kitchen counters, wipe down surfaces, sweep, swiffer the floors, vacuum and dust the office, bedroom and livingroom. Scrub the bathroom, wash towels and clothes. Water the plants and clean the kitty litter boxes. I wanted to organize some of our wedding photos today and review our finances too. The list just seems to go on and on....I know that I need to just dive in and begin and it will all come together, it just seems like a very busy and long day of chores . I will feel so much better once our place is back to some order and I have a chance to scrap book photos (that's my reward or treat if you will for finishing all of the tasks on my list).

If I feel like grocery shopping after I tackle the chores today, that's on my list of things to do this weekend...maybe tomorrow though. I also want to purchase some photo safe pens to label the backs of my photos, some paper to help with scrapbooking, and double sided tape or photo corners to help nicely display the pictures on the scrap book pages.

Today I am getting my flu shot.
We are also going to pick up wood for the winter.
Tonight DH is taking our family out to a Hibachi style meal to celebrate my DD2 and my bithday. Should be a lot of fun.
DH hot his hair cut and is cleaning the pool and back yard.
Then we are off for errands

Well this morning I went to the gym. We then were at home and cleaned up a bit. This afternoon me and my 2 DS went to the museum because it was free Musuem Day here in our province. Now I'm going to make supper right away and then nothing tonight except internet and watch TV!! and get hubby to start the fireplace up!

We have football games tonight so I will be there until around 8 then off to a birthday party.

Cut DH's hair yesterday, and should cut mine today, but I think I'll wait till I get back to Ohio. Cleaned more cupboards/closets yesterday, too.

Still deep cleaning the cabin for take-off (going home ), and today I'm gonna tackle the bedrooms. The wood floors need scrubbing, and I need to sort through summer/winter clothing and decide what goes/stays. Ugh.

I'm going to tackle cleaning out the refrigerator , which DD9 will help a little with. You know where you take out everything and wipe it down completely, my least favorite job, lol! But it is long overdue.

DD has a friend coming over to play this afternoon.

I have to call my dear friend in CA who just had triplets a week ago and see how she is surviving! Wish I could hold those babies! Gotta get a gift for them that I have still sitting on my desk here, in the mail today, too.

Tonight we have been invited to a neighbor's for dinner and I will make dessert to bring over. That should be really fun.
