    Default Hello from Kansas City!

    How did you hear about frugal village? From a member of another forum I visit. (Hi Tara, Terri and Amy!)

    What interests you here? General tips on tightening up the budget and saving.

    What will you contribute? I'm getting REALLY good at frugal grocery shopping while still buying good, quality food. I also like to shop and eat out, but I'll never do it without a COUPON. Paying full price for ANYTHING is pretty much my worst nightmare.

    Do you know any other members here? Yes.

    How many kids? Ages? I have two little girls -- Evangeline, 2.5 and Aurelia, 12 weeks.

    Tell us about yourself. I am a full-time working mom. I don't love being a working mom, but my husband's job is very inconsistent with very poor benefits, so I have to work for stability and maintaining my sanity. My family is my absolute joy. I look forward to every minute I can spend with them and am loving making family memories. As I mentioned, I love to shop and eat out, and I get an honest to goodness kick out of saving $$$ when we do these things. Bring on the coupons! I also am a born again Christian. We are passionate about tithing, feeding the hungry and assisting the poor. We like to find creative ways to help -- like buying 100 boxes of cereal when they're on a good sale and stopping by the food pantry on the way home.

    Do you own any pets? We do -- an English Mastiff named Halo.

    Occupation? Casualty Claims Examiner

    Married or single? Married for 5.5 years

    Interests and hobbies? Reading, cooking, hanging out with my kids, learning about frugality and saving $.
