Nothing much is going on. It is almost noon. Too late to start anything big on my to-do list because I have to leave around 1:15 to pick up the kids from school.
I have my supper started. Chicken perlou. I never know how to spell that. I also plan on fixin' collards cooked with a ham hock (my DH favorite way) and some corn that we grew in the garden. Tomorrow we are having a roast so I am thawing that also.
Momma said that she realizes now after looking back over the past years that my sister just wanted $$. She said that she now understands why I sorta stepped back. (earlier post about me being overprotective of my mom) Momma now wants me to become her power-of-attorney over her finances and healthcare while she's living. She realizes that the POA would end when somethings happens to her but she says that she had been meaning to change some things in her will and this is as good of time as any. This will really p-------- my sister off but I really don't care any more. I made a promise and I am going to keep it. (explained in above mentioned post)
My life seems so hectic right now. I am taking Momma to her Dr. visits, taking my DD to her othrodonist check-ups, taking DSS to ADHD check-ups, planning Sunday morning preschool lessons for ages 1-5 to take to church on Wednesdays (don't like waiting at the last minute), planning benefit rides for our Motorcycle Ministry at church. I am the secretary and DH is Prez.
Some people don't understand why you would have a motorcycle ministry. It like this. When I first thought of people riding motorcycles i thought of the Hell's Angels, people hanging out at bars, drinking...... I think you get the picture. Well, we are out in the community to show people that you can be a Christian and still ride. You don't have to drink to have a good time. We plan blood drives for our local red cross and our hospital. We have rides to raise $$ for the sick in the community, we do toy runs at Christmas , etc.
Well, my MIL is calling.
Hope everyone is having a good day!!
