I've been listening to the scanner, numerous cars off the road & dh says the drive home was miserable. The cops detoured him off the main road & he had to take an untreated road home but he made it ok. Really tough here because the plows etc weren't ready for this.
The roads between work & home are full of elevation and that's where the problems all are. It's definitely an elevation storm.

While we shouldn't get much snow here is s. NH, I hate hearing the ;s;' word again- we had 100+ inches of snow last year, 7 snow days- we spent over $500 in snowplowing alone .

The snow is sticking, the wind is blowing and I don't know how much snow we will wake up to tomorrow. I am not prepared for snow before Halloween. I will have to dig out my boots, my gloves, and my winter coat for tomorrow . On the bright side the weather is supposed to be close to 60 degrees here on Friday .

Ahhh we had a few scares of snow but nothing that has stuck yet. There's nothing in the forecast for snow before Halloween nor is there anything that's going to keep me from wearing my pirate wench costume this year!

    Enjoy the snow.

I might check with my mom tomorrow and see how it is in Elmira.

I hope you don't have to go out in it any time soon, Darlene! You and hubby stay safe!

    Snow snow & more snow!

Schools are closed. Dh is a gov't employee and he has a 2 hour delay. Our magnolia bush lost almost all of it's branches. We also lost a couple of cedar trees to the weight of the snow/rain.

We had an SUV hit the telephone pole right in front of our house last night. Before we could call for help, s/he backed up and drove away! Good luck explaining that to your insurance company w/out a police report

I had to turn on the heat this morning. It was 53F in the house, that's a little too chilly. The good thing is, I should be able to turn it back off after tomorrow morning as it's supposed to warm up by Halloween.
