They work well, I don;t know why, but they do..... a store around here now uses them for their organic produce.....I keep them and reuse them - very cool!!

I let my grandkids talk me into buying these and I felt it was a total waste of money. IMHO, nothing stayed fresh any longer than the regular bags. I tested some bananas and they deverloped brown spots at the same rate. The bananas were stored on the counter top, away from other fruit so that it would be a good test.
What a waste of money!!

I have the "Green Bags" and also have the "Bread Bags" that Debbie Myers makes.
The green bags work better in the refrig than out. My Onions and Potatoes went bad quicker in the bags than laying them out in my basement panrty.
The "Bread Bags" work very good. I get free French Bread from the Store and usually it is stale the next day. With the "Bread Bags" it stays fresh for a week.
I am looking for the "Cheese Bags" and "Cold Cuts Bags". I really don't want to pay for shipping on line if I can find them locally.

Try CVS, I saw them there today.
I use the veggie bags and just bought the bread bags. I have been using the veggie bags for a few years now and I swear by them! Like another poster said, you have to make sure whatever you put in there is not moist or it will turn faster.

I bought them quite a while back and for some things they worked okay and others they actually made what I had stored in them go bad even quicker than normal, especially after the first use of the bag. They state each bag is reusable up to 10 times with washing after use, well it seemed that after the first use the bags didn't work that great anymore at all.
A few examples of what I noticed... I normally keep my lettuce in a gallon size ziploc bag that I have punctured holes into the sides and just leave the top open. It normally keeps for about 3 weeks to a month in the crisper like this. I tried it in the green bags and it lasted 2 weeks and started getting slimy.
Bananas went bad real quick in the bags. Strawberries lasted maybe a few days longer than normal.
My carrots lasted a long time, but about the same amount of time that they normally last when I store then in a ziploc wrapped in a slightly damp paper towel.
Herbs when bad super quick. My parsley and cilantro got extremely slimy and wet inside the green bags.
Like I said some things I used them on worked okay especially if it was the first time the bag was being used. Other things it just seemed to keep moisture in the bag and make stuff wet and slimy or just turn over ripe way too quickly for my opinion. I will not buy them again or bother with the "bread, meat, and cheese bags" that she has out now.

Thanks guys for all the insight on these bags. Maybe the next time I have some cvs bucks and can get them free or real cheap I may give them a try but, I don't think I want to pay the full price.
Thanks again.
