    Default Hello from SE Michigan!

    Hi everyone!

    My name is Dru and I am so excited to find this place!

    I'm 33, and my BF is 40. We'll get married as soon as we can afford it.

    Right now he is underemployed and i am unemployed but we are blessed to live in an ancestral farmhouse so it's paid for!

    We have one adorable dog, too many chickens and 5 cats. We're hoping for more farm animals soon.

    I'm frugal by nature and love doing as much as I can on my own rather than paying for it.

    We are lucky enough to have room for a big garden, so i can/freeze lots of fruits/vegs. We have a walnut and two chestnut trees, so i harvest what i can from them. This was the first year i was able to harvest hickory nuts from a tree in our field before the worms got to them so yippy! They are very tasty- sort of luck a hazelnut.

    Anyway- that's a bit about me. I look forward to getting to know you all.

    Hello and welcome to the village. You've come to the right place for being frugal. People have so many ideas here and words of encouragement. Although, I see you are from Michigan...ya know I am a big Buckeye fan!! LOl
