They Talked About Us....
Yesterday Sarah Palin was in Cape Girardeau. Kathy Sweeney, the reporter doing our story, interviewed her and Jeff Cunningham had interview Joe Biden. They both asked them about the economic policies and how they would effect us. Imagine my surprise to hear our names (Debbie and Wendell) come out of both canidates mouths!
If anyone is interested, you can see the interviews at www.kfvs12.com and it the link marked 'VP Canidates Answer Economic Questions' .

This is the first year I remember with candidates actually including "real" people and their problems into their campaigns. Has it been done before, and I just didn't pay attention, or is this a new trend?

That is cool.
I wish it could help you NOW though.

That is really neat. I hope something will be able to be done now instead of after the election though.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

Oh wow, now that's pretty awesome! Your story had such an impact and I'm glad that they recognized your family as an example of why there needs to be change in this next presidency. I'm hoping that someone can do something now to help you out and not later on.

Hey, Debbie...maybe you can auction off your autograph here on FV to raise some much needed money.
Seriously, that's pretty cool. Like Heather said, I just wish it could help you now. You know we're all thinking about you and Wendell and hoping things start looking up soon.
