Hello from CT!!!
Hi Folks, Very happy to be here! I am a 48 yr old on disability. My dh is 47 yrs old, after working for 10 yrs with a trucking company, the company had to shut down. I am #6 in a family of 7, my oldest brother, was also an employee of the same company. Sadly, in May of this year, he passed away unexpectedly. While still spinning with that, my husband was laid off. Kids are all grown and out on their own now, just the two of us with 2 dogs and 1 cat. Its been a very tough and challenging year for us as a family. I am happy to find such a friendly and helpful place to be!!! Look forward to spending time getting to know everyone!!!

You'll find lots of good advice here, and best of all, you'll find support when things get dark for you!
My DH was laid off last winter and I found tons of support here that helped me get through the lean times!

Welcome, glad you joined us here.You'll find alot of great ideas here! My dh is in the trucking industry...but his focus is on being a mechanic now. It is a tough industry to work in and I know how winter can bring cutbacks. That's one of the reasons that I started posting here.
