Default Five Days of Cancer :(

This is mostly me just venting but I have utterly had it with this week... literally every single day this week I have found out another person I care very much about has been diagnosed with cancer...

Monday - cousin Tanya has cancer behind her colon, which is inoperable, and they don't know yet what they are going to do

Tuesday - one of our Scout's mothers, Karen, who I've known for 5 years now, has breast cancer

Wednesday - cousin Julia has cancer throughout her entire pelvic area and it is spreading

Thursday - cousin Greg has lung AND brain cancer

Friday - cousin Howard has stomach cancer...........

    I officially hate cancer...................................................

Wow, Dave, I'm so sorry to hear that. My sister is a breast cancer survivor, and my father died of it at age 52, so I'm right there with you on the hating it. I also lost a very good friend who was in her thirties to breast cancer some years back.

I know several people who are dealing with cancer right now, and medical science is 300% better than it was just ten years ago, so at least we, as a society, are moving in the right direction.

Best of thoughts to you and those you care about....

I'm very sorry to hear about all this bad news, Dave. That really sucks.
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

I wish they would put as much focus on finding the cause as they do finding the cure. I am so sorry here that so much has found your family all at once.

Sorry to hear about all this. Cancer sucks. My mom lost 2 of her brothers and 1 sister to cancer, so she and her final sibling make sure they get regular cancer screenings as it appears to run in the family. Not to alarm you or anything, but the earlier they can catch it the better so please have a screening done. I have 2 friends who recently had cancer and thank God they caught it in time. They are doing very well now.
