Proud of my DD
Just an update on my DD-- some of you may recall that she had gotten a grant from the Texas Department Of Rehabilitative Services to attend classes to become a CNA. She finished her classes and "graduated" from the course a couple of weeks ago. (Yay!) She is scheduled to take the state skills exam on Tuesday and the written exam (although they may give it to her orally because of her disabilities) on Wednesday.
The other day she applied at a companion/provider services company and was hired yesterday. She had her first day on the job today when she filled in for someone and took care of a cancer patient from 8am-6pm. When she got home she told us that the woman she cared for was very impressed with her and told her she was going to let the company know about what a great job our DD did. We're very proud of her and are keeping our fingers crossed that she has no problems with her exams this coming week.

Michele, that is wonderful! You have every right to be so proud of her. It sounds like she's doing a great job!

That's awesome to hear. I am sure she will do fine on her exams but a few positive, good lucky vibes are never a bad thing...............so sending some your way.

Awesome news! Let us know how she does on her exam. I'll be praying for her. That's such a tough job and to get such praise on her first day must have made her feel like a million bucks!
