11-1-08 How is everyone doing this morning?
Good Morning All!!!
How are you doning this morning?
I've managed to wake up with a dull headache that I am sure is from internalized frustration/dissapointment/anger. I'm generally not a lead by emotion kinda girl but DH, the boys, and my immediate family can make me seem like an emotional basket case on occassion over the simplest of things because I've let them build up. I've done some venting and tried voiceing what I'm feeling and diffusing it by talking to DH but he doesn't get it so it's internalize it and diffuse another way or cause a HUGE blow up. I don't want a blow up right now as I wouldn't be able to be rational, I don't think. I need to diffuse some more first and then we can probably have a discussion as oppossed to a blow up. So, anyway, I've got a lot on my plate for today but am starting off slow and trying to get rid of the headache and get back into balance first. Over the last year I've come to find the village is a wonderful "put things in perspective" for me tool whether I'm chatting or surfing.
How is everyone else?

I am tired. DD16 and her friend had a Halloween party for a few friends last night. They had it at the friends parents cabin for maxium creepiness and it was chaperone by said parents. She was supposed to be home at 10:30pm. At 11pm we get a phone call saying that some things have gone missing after the guests left, including DD cell phone and debit card. Looks like one of their "friends" went on a crime spree last night. We spent an hour on hold with the bank trying to cancel her debit card. Can you believe that there is a huge call volume at 1 a.m.?
This so called friend of DD also took some cash and antoher girl's shoes. I don't think she will be a friend much longer!

Good Morning.......
I'm sorry that you are starting your day this way and I hope it gets better and things get worked out.
Myself, working on the first cup of coffee and just waking up. I too woke up with a headache, however I think mine is simply due to the fact that my mattress is past its prime and we need to do something about that very soon.

Tired here, late night football which we won 50 something to 0. (can you tell I was paying attention
) We will be heading to a pep rally for this coming Friday night's game. It is one of the largest high school rivalries..it is actually ranked in the nation's top ten! This will be the first of three pep rallies to get everyone fired up for the battle of the bell. I've got so much I should be doing, but it will just have to wait for a little bit. Other than that....doing pretty good here.

It's a foggy morning here, and damp. I fed the pets and rode my bike. I am going to change linens, do a quick house pick up, then head to the store. This afternoon I am going with my daughter and the kids to a movie matinee. If you bring a can of food for the food bank you will get in free. This evening we are staying home to watch a few movies and relax. Hope you all have a great day !!

We were up late chatting with friends so the children and I slept in and I'm still warming up on my slow start for the day. I haven't even made coffee yet. It's grocery shopping day and I don't have any motivation to make a list and I need to straighten up and cook for tomorrow on top of what needs to be done for today .. and did I mention I have no motivation?
bleh! My toddler just had an accident in the bathroom and is apparently needing assistance .... the joys.

Ha! I love The Village!
I was all set and SO excited to sleep in this morning. And who comes in to my room 2 inches from my face at 7:00 a.m.? Yup, the 4 year old. So I make her get into bed with me and turn on cartoons for her. She has this annoying habit (cute when she was a baby, NOT cute when she's almost 5) of twisting my hair in her hands as a comfort thing. Needless to say, I did not get to go back to sleep.
So I'm on my first cup of coffee, and thinking about the rest of my day. I have a basketball game for oldest dd at 1:00, then we are invited to a friend's house for a get together at 5:30.
At least we get an extra hour of sleep tomorrow for daylight savings time, right?
Have a great day, all!

I'm just worn out and sore.

I neglected to wear any stockings with my costume last night and ended up gettin chaffed way more on my legs and butt than I had bargained for. I still need to go through DS #1's bag of candy but it's not like I give him any anyways since he can't have candy. (It's a whole diet thing) I went through DS #2's bag last night so that's done, but then DH walks into the house with another 25lbs of white chocolate and an 11.1lb box of milk chocolate nuggets. That brings the grand total to 91lbs of chocolate that I need to somehow go through. I don't think I've ever eaten that much chocolate in such a short time.
Today I might try to con DH into taking us to the recycling spot to get rid of all the recyclables I have, plus we have a bunch of empties that could be turned into cash. I might also go to Superstore and see what they have left as far as Halloween candy and stock up for Christmas. It's the 1st of November (which is my half-brother's 18th birthday) but already there's Christmas stuff up at Superstore. I need to take inventory of what I have and what I'll need this year as far as wrapping paper, tape, etc are concerned. I still have cards from last year, so I'm going to get my contact book out and start looking at whom to send cards to. I also have a couple friends of mine who I want to send cookies to this year.Wife to DH since 10/31/2002!

The headache has dulled some and I've started makeing my way through the rest of the "stuff" scattered about my house. DS#2 has just informed me I've filled ALL the garbage cans. (mostly scrap from the house projects) He informed me he doesn't have to take anything else out because there is no where to put it. ..... I sent him to borrow a couple of cans from our neighbor.

Thanks for asking!
It's a gorgeous morning here in MO, with sunshine and mild temps. Hubby and I slept in until 8, then lay in bed laughing at various things (I love to start my day by laughing). We went out to feed the dog and walk the woods gathering nuts. Then it was in for a nice leisurely breakfast. I fixed french toast with whole grain bread and sprinkled home-grown hickory nuts on it, served with warm maple syrup, and sausage links on the side. Made a pot of really good coffee (I have some left; come on over!).
Now the laundry is going. I'm getting ready to grade papers and Hubby is getting some work done in his office. This afternoon, we are going to drive thru the state park and look at all the wonderful fall colors. Might make a snack and a pot of coffee to take with us.
Ah......... wish you were here to enjoy the day with us!Spiritual:

It's been a very productive day so far. I hope GG's & Cindy's weekend gets better.
So far I have: Cleaned the kitchen, cleaned out one fridge, folded three baskets of laundry, washed two loads, dried one load, with another load in the washer and more behind it waiting to be washed.
I also sorted through the boys' candy, taking out the stuff they can't/shouldn't have (I am always astonished at how much crap has Red40 in it).
In a few minutes I'm heading out to pick up dd from her sleepover. She spent the night with a friend last night who lives...get this....in the back of a FUNERAL HOME! On Halloween night, my daughter spent the night with a friend who lives at the funeral home
LOL!
Later dh & I are going out to dinner to celebrate his 50th birthday a little early (his bday is Monday).

Spent the night at my mother's house, chaperoning my 16 yr old sister's halloween party. At one point, there were 18 of them! The last guest left at about 1 am. The first guest arrived at 2:30... and I was the only one there at the time!! I woke up at 8 am. I've got a bit of a headache but probably just need some caffeine.
