Around here it seems to be the week before Thanksgiving. Shoprite is have another one of there buy x amount in dollars and get a free turkey, ham, or lasagna. So I will be going for the turkey. Just keep track of the circulars. If you remember what store you bought the turkey from you can always call and ask when they are running a special like that.

    Good luck.

I went to the grocery store Sunday... .59/lb with a limit of 2 turkeys per person. (The whole chicken was $1.30/lb)
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

Here it's usually three or four weeks before Thanksgiving. I got my turkey for buying a certain amount of groceries.

I usually get Grandma one or two turkeys for free for spending x amount at the store. I usually do xmas shopping to hit the limit. I may not hit the limit this year because the guys are all getting cash.

    Side note:
We don't eat turkey. None of us like it. If we do Thanksgiving at home, we have ham.

I don't remember exactly, but I'm thinking the couple of weeks before Thanksgiving, because when the first sales some out, I always wonder ... get it now, or wait to see what turns up next week? What I want for Christmas is a grocery sale crystal ball.

Safeway has Honeysuckle turkeys on for .69/lb. They are yummy, so I may get two. I will also buy one if it's super cheap (.25/lb with 50.00 purchase). I also get one through my work, so we will have turkey for awhile! I am looking forward to turkey with all the trimmings.
