Default 11-4-08 What will everyone be doing today???

My morning didn't start out as peaceful as I would've liked but it has settled down now and I'm looking foward to the rest of the day. I took the day off so the kids could lounge around at home. They spent yesterday with Dad and made hamburgers in the toaster thinking they were waffles so I figure the three of them needed some time apart. A second day together might not be safe. (It actually took my sister to come down, after they had put the "waffles" back down 3 times - and they were still soggy- to tell them they were making hamburgers not waffles)

    Anyway, for today....

    ~ VOTE
    ~ iron and hang sheers
~ play with the back travis rod and hope I don't have to take the whole thing down and return it
~ throw dinner in the crockpot and something to bake in the oven
    ~ surf the village
    ~ read
~ register the warrenties on the couch
~ general pick up after ourselves kind of stuff and puttering around

How about you all??? Anything intresting?

Aside from the usual stuff like lessons, laundry, dishes, & figuring out what to make for dinner....the boys have an Odyssey of the Mind meeting. On the way there, we'll stop off so I can VOTE. They are excited to go with me. I think dh is going to take our 16yo with him after work. The 14yo is playing up the "sullen teen" part right now

I also need to call & schedule to get our sofa, recliner, & area rug cleaned before Thanksgiving. FYI, never buy a white rug and beige sofa when you have as many kids & animals as I have

I'll also be knitting & reading the third Twilight book. Not at the same time though. I'm not that talented lol.

I have the roofers coming back today. They found some dry rot, so I get the pleasure of finding out how much more than the original $4,000 it is going to cost me to fix it.

Also, have the carpet cleaners coming in today. Figured my work day was shot with the roofers, so it was a good time to have them in.

Morning all. I am finishing up my linens and getting the pets fed. I am also trying to water my plants.I plan on heading out for a bike ride with a friend(stopping to vote along the way) and then cleaning out my car. This afternoon I have a hair appointment and an eye exam. Supper and relaxing will round out my day. Have a good one!

I've already done my usual, got up and made breakfast for DH and DS, seen them off to school and work and cleaned the kitchen and washed the dishes.

I early voted so I don't have to do that today.

    But I need to -
    Clean the house
    Water the garden
Do some light mulching in the garden
Dig through my books and figure out what to read next
    Work out....or not.
Attempt to re-organize my filing cabinet then realize it's not really what I want to do today so I will put that off again.

It's going to be pretty much a low key day for me I think.

Well today I have to drive 2 hours to go visit FIL in hospital and bring MIL home with me. So that is a fun 4 hours of driving time! Once I get home I have laundry to do and a little bit of housecleaning.

Well, kids are off to school and dh is off to work! I will be voting and then hauling garbage today. My house is a PIT, so I will be focusing on that. I should organize my stockpile of canned goods in the basement, so will try to give that some priority this afternoon.

    Have a great day!
