I actually had a friend vote for Bush just because she thought he was funny. You would think that she would know a thing or two about politics since her dad is the Mayor of a city here in Michigan. But my dear friend has no clue and you cannot even discuss politics with her because she honestly knows nothing. Maybe she want's to stick her head in the sand.......I don't know.

I sent in my ballot last week. I dropped off DS at the poll about an hour ago - he's home sick. DBF is going after work and everywhere, there are lines out the door.

I voted early at City Hall. The clerk just asked my name, and then after she found me in the computer, asked if I still lived at ... -- no ID, nada.

Hey Greebo -- how do you find out if you're anyone's ignore lists?

In my case? People go out of their way to tell me.
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

We voted today around 11:30. No line at all... 3 people came in after us, but all in all, deserted... They never checked our ID either, they only wanted to know our names & addresses.

When we went to the grocery store after (I swear, they wait to the last minute to tell me they need a toothbrush ) and most of the employees were buzzing about voting. One was irate that no one checked for her ID either.
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

I voted last Wed. about 30 minutes before they closed early voting for that day and I think I was in and out in less than 10 min. I was going to wait until Election Day, but then I found out that Joe had to work and was scared that by the time I got off work and got Paige that there would be a long line and I could just hear Paige saying....I hungry or I got to go pee...lol

I did for the first time in a while. No waiting even though I kept reading and hearing about the expectation of more turnout for this election. Maybe it was just the time of the day. I waited until about 4pm.

I was very surprised that I didn't have to wait. I'm also shocked to hear that there are places where you aren't ID'd. There have been signs up all over the place at every place I've ever voted (in Alabama and Florida) stating to have your ID ready. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I did hear on the news though that other polling places in town had very long lines. I guess going at 10am was a good idea. My husband had no wait either at 5:30pm. Glad that ads are over!!!

Yep. We did. We were number 6 and 7 in the line at 5:40 am.
When we left 30 minutes later there were almost 100 people in line and the drive way to the back of the building was full.
