How Long Did it Take You to Vote?
I live out in the country, and usually voting is an in and out thing. Midmorning is usually a slow time with not many voters. This morning I had to park a half mile away in a field, cross a highway by foot and dodge heavy traffic (helped by the sheriff's dept.), stand in line outside for half an hour, and then inside for another 20 minutes. There was no place left to sit down and vote. People were lined up against walls marking ballots, or sitting on the ground marking the ballots, etc. Radio news said that lines were 3 hours long in St. Louis; thankfully, we weren't that long.
What was your experience? How long did it take you to vote?Spiritual:

In and out in about 5 minutes, I would have been faster, however, the voting was held at the senior center and even though I walk faster than them I am polite and let them go ahead of me!!

Didn't take long, there was a few minutes wait but nothing much at all. Maybe 10 minute wait for a machine. I love in the county here, and it was surprising that there was as many people as there was. I hope this is a good sign and it means more people are getting out to vote!

We'll be voting after Jack gets home from work & changes. There are 2 machines one for homes east & one for west of a certain point) of our town. Luckily there is never a wait in our section & get to walk past the long line for the other machine. Zip zip & we are out.

About half an hour. Longest I've ever had to wait at this polling location.
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

I voted a week ago Monday- so Oct 27th. Had to go to the county court house. We live in a small town about 15 minutes away from the county seat. Had to go thru the metal detector and was out in less than 5 minutes.
I voted early b/c I've had to wait before in our small town (there are only 2 ballot boxes) and with 2 small children it would be a huge pain. Dh has Mondays off.

We left home at 10 am and we were back home at 1015 am. The workers said there was a 1 1/2 hour wait earlier and that we had come at a good time

We all have to vote on election day here unless you vote by absentee ballot so our lines were really long.
Some people reportedly arrived at the polls as early as 4:30 am (polls open at 7:00 am).
DH and I went to vote at 7:15. There were over 200 people in line and it was rapped around the building. Being that I am in a cast and am not suppose to be on my foot, we did not stay. He came home and picked me up around 11:00 and this time we were able to get in and out in 10 minutes. There was still a good amount of voters, but thankfully the lunch rush had not gotten into full swing yet.
Some of the other polling places around our city still have lines out the door according to the news. Meter maids have been recruited to direct traffic at the various locations and parking has been difficult for many at times.DD (19)

It took about 20 minutes in line in the ultra-small town where I'm registered and I have to admit it was great to see so many people showing up to vote!

It took me about 10 min, which included me walking there with both kids and walking back. I also live in a small area. There was only one person in front of me.
