Go online with www.mypoints.com and get alot of your shopping done by the walking of your fingers. I did alot of magazines it is cheap and easy. There is alot of free magazines offers that fit the bill for this year. Go to your $$ store and you will find alot of great gifts. Let you imagination work for you to make some cheap gifts. I focus alot of tradition and not on the material items. I do something with the family each weekend that is special so there is memories and not money spent. If you have children at home you can make coupon books for everyone that they can use throughout the year and that makes it fun. My DH and I only spend $20.00 on each other and the rest is personal time with each other. Just let your mind go and you will find alot of ideas and gifts for a little or nothing.

I am pretty well done. Just wrapped it all yesterday.

What I did this year was buy a big gift for the family to share (a video game system). I knew this is what I wanted to get this so I bought it early when I was able to find it. I knew the big thing my son wanted so I bought it last month on sale. I had my kids give me a list and I bought them things as they were on sale over the last few weeks. We don't buy too many gifts so it was easy to get finished. The only other people I buy for are my nephews. I bought them a game and I am going to get some movie passes for them. I just have to pick them up and then I'll be done. I do have to buy stocking stuffers but the stockings aren't to big and I buy mostly toiletries, candy and fruit.

Ahhh I'm so jealous. I got just a few gifts so far. I figure that if I can keep the last few years from happening this time around, I'll start getting more gifts this week. YDS and ODS will be out of my hair from 8:30 to 1:00 so I'm thinking that a trip to the mall may be good to get some more shopping out of the way.

I am REALLY trying not to focus on the fact that we only have like three paychecks until Christmas day. Three. Seriously. I am about 75% done but there is always something that I have to run out and get last minute. I have been really struggling with trying to keep up my savings building and cc depleting goals and still getting all of the gifts bought. I think I am going to have to start focusing on January as my gazelle intense jumpstart to shredding this debt. I don't see myself making any great financial strides during the next two months (sigh)
