Default Omg, I love bean sprouts!

    Well, I do.

They're so delicious and crunchy and filled with all sorts of yum. DH got me to try them on a pita pocket sandwich with some turkey, swiss and lettuce. I have to tell you that they're pretty addicting. They're honestly also the best vegetable for my value. They sell them here for 96 cents/lb and a large bag cost me about 90 cents. It's enough bean sprouts to make at least a week's worth of sandwiches.

Mmmm I would love to grow my own! We have to buy them every three days or so because they're not very good after the third day, but I'm willing to walk my butt to the store for a big bag of them at the price I see them going for. It makes me want to make some Chinese food dinners too because they're so delicious.

Oh, yeah! I put them in every single stir-fry I make. On salads, too. Yummy.

Wow, I just saw a bean sprout growing kit at the thrift store. Almost picked it up but am trying to control my spending right now.

I like radish, alfalfa, onion sprouts. They mix them and call them spicy sprouts, too. They are quite pricey around here. There are very few grocers near me that sell fresh bean sprouts so I don't get to try them.

Some sprouts can be eaten raw, others can't. Sprouts made from soy beans are OK, those from other beans and peas aren't and have to be cooked in some way.

Every time I make DH his lunch, I end up stealing a handful out of the bag. They're like to me. I find they are much more crunchy and alot more juicy than green leaf lettuce. I was tempted to get a head of cabbage, shred that and make some spring rolls with bean sprouts and cabbage and some shredded carrots.
