Daughter decided NO POX party
After talking with her and doing more research, she decided against the party. Thank goodness.I was not likeing the idea. But i never liked my mother telling me how to raise my kids,so i exspress my point and leave it at that. We have a close relationship.....

I'm guessing they are talking about a chicken pox party...correct?
I still wish I had let my kids get the actual chicken pox vs. the vaccine. They both received the vaccine (which is still less than 10 years old, so who knows what type of long term effects it'll have) and when I took them in this summer was told that they now both needed boosters, because the initial shot was not lasting... How ridiculous! So when I asked the dr if he was sure it was safe, he said yes, and I had to point out that he was the one who also told me that the one vaccine would last them a lifetime too.
The school required either the documented illness or the vaccine, and I was told I had to have it done or they couldn't come to school. Well, now after having them both vaccinated, I found out that there is an opt out form I could have signed to still send them to school with out it!
Okay,
I highjacked your post! Didn't mean too!
Glad you let her make her own choices. As a mother with young children, I know that sometimes opinions are valued and sometimes they aren't...so I'm sure it is a hard job for a grandparent to figure out just when to solicit advice!
