    Question Who sells on Ebay?

Just wondering how many of you sell on ebay or etsy? I sell on ebay. The sells have been down this last month. I hope they pick up soon.

I used to. For a couple years I made quite a bit of money off things I made. Sales have dropped steadily each year since I started (1999). Fees have just kept going up. I tried putting up some items this year, after doing poorly last year, and it was even worse. There is so much competition now, not just from cheap chinese made stuff, but from other sellers who cut prices so low I can't see how they make any money at all.

A friend of mine swears by Etsy, however she only tried Ebay once before giving up, and hasn't sold anything on Etsy either. I think listing fees are cheaper, but you still get killed on paypal fees.

I have sold quite a bit on ebay. Been a member since 1999.
I still read quite a bit on the chat boards there to stay currnet of all the changes.
I am not liking them at all. I really should get some stuff up there to sell.

I check out etsy every now and then but have not listed there yet. When I do, it will be some yarn and some patterns. I have way too much. I crochet and knit myself. I been working on hats for the grandkids. I even finally got my hubby to wear one of mine for his hunting.

My sister in law has mentioned learning to sell on ebay and etsy. I gave her some more pointers yesterday. As soon as she gets done what I told her to do, I said I would help her get some auctions / listings up. I did let her help me do a few of my listings awhile back so she could get some hands on doing it. It's so much easier that way, kind of like show and tell, I guess

This name that I use here is the same I use for other sites. I do have a website that I built and it's just add a .com to this same user id.

I sell on ebay, but not regularly. I happen to know things that are worth money and if I find them at thrift stores or garage sales, I pick them up and sell them on ebay.

I HATE the fact they took away sellers giving buyers negative feedback, I've had MORE trouble with buyers since that started it.

Still, I'm glad they have things like ebay, half and amazon. I can find my CDs and books at a reasonable cost. I like shopping 2nd hand, but there are somethings I will NEVER find second hand.

I sell on Ebay and Craigslist. Ebay's fees have gone up and have not sold as much lately.

I hated messing with paying taxes and all. It was not worth my time to have the headache at the end of the year.

I occasionally help my sister sell off her old scrapebooking supplies/stamps sets and at first we used Ebay. Seemed like a waste of time and money cause quite a few people would sell the same set for a ridiculously low price, I don't even understand why they would bother listing. Now we mainly use the online classifieds supported through the local tv station and it's free.
