    Smile A Newbie from Indiana

    Hello! ... from a newbie from Indiana. I was laid off from my 3 1/2 year job last week. I am told that I will most likely be called back, but not until after the first of the year. We do have a well stocked pantry & freezer, so I think we will be fine... for a couple of months, anyway.

    I went looking on the web for websites to help with frugal living, downsizing your lifestyle, etc., and found this site. I hope to gain a lot of knowledge from all of you on how to live more frugal and simpler.

    I am living with my fiance. (who is also a currently unemployed OTR truck driver). We were Jr High sweethearts many, many years ago and last year, both of us were single when we ran into each other again. We struck up a friendship and things went on their own from there! LOL. I feel that we are where we should've been 32 years ago! Better late than never, I suppose.
