Help Ya'll
I have been extremely sick.
I have been hacking and coughing for days. I can't seem to shake this. On top of not doing so great with my fibro, I now have this.
Please keep me in your thoughts!

Moor, I hope that you are feeling well soon! You are such an inspiration to so many of us here & I think at some point & time, you've given all of us some great advice or suggestions!
I'm so sorry to hear that you are feeling down. I hope that you can kick your cold, or whatever it is that you have, quickly.
Remember to take care of yourself, now is the time to take extra time to relax, and let others do for you.
I think sometimes that's very hard for the nuturers in us, but we have to relent from time to time and let others take over.
Lots of naps, warm baths, extra time in your jammies and lots of hot soup and fluids. I would also suggest staying away from the general population. Alot of bugs/colds are beginnning to float around this time of year, and being around alot of people while you are trying to recover can't help.
So if you have errands, ask others to take care of them for you.
Lots of these
&
that you begin to feel better soon!

Go to the doctor. Viral infections (colds) can easily turn into bacterial infections (which may be why you can't shake the cough) and you might need an antibiotic.
For the cough, OTC cough syrups do not work. Try very strong black tea or orange pekoe tea with lots of honey. The type of caffeine that is in tea is a natural antidote to coughing and wheezing. You might also try boiling a pot of hot water and giving yourself a "facial" with a towel over your head -- breathe in the steam, or even allow yourself to swelter in a hot steamy bathroom. But really, Moor, the tea does help. Even use two tea bags to make sure its good and strong.
I hope you feel better soon.

Feel better soon, Moor.
That's an ORDER!
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

Hope you get to feeling better soon!
I've been sick too. Mine started w/ very bad sore throat, ear bothering me & fever on the 1st day (last Monday). Then felt better on 2nd day, but started coughing late afternoon & sick by that night. Some head congestion then more, coughing to break up the icky, thick stuff for several days. And I mean coughing until you can't cough anymore w/tears run down you face. I've pulled muscles (can feel in under my ribs, back & sides). This weekend all I want to do was sleep... just completely worn down. I worked less than 14 hours last week & yesterday I worked 6 hours. I'm not coughing as much, but I have little spells. Still taking some otc stuff when needed, but my tissue supply is down to 1 unopened box. May have to go by the store after work today if I feel up to it.

Good idea about tea and honey. Someone told me whooping cough was going around or something like that. Make sure you have plenty of fluids. Mucinex works good or the knock off brand if you can find it. The steam facial is good also. Most important is that your rest if you can. Lemmon tea is good. I had surgery a year ago and it helped me heal quicker. All it is is lemmon juice in warm water with honey. You can get Arnica tablets and take them and the will help your body with produce natural germ fighters also. I took this also. Google it and see what it will do. I take it when I feel bad now. I will be sending you healing thoughts your way. Positive thought make positive things happen. Be blessed.

When I have a cold I do three things:
1. Use Zicam as directed
2. Drink hot toddy's (I'm telling you hot whisky is the cure for a cold!)
3. Sleep, sleep, rest, and sleep
I hope you feel better soon!
