I want a detailed account of where that last bail out went?
Does anyone know of a site that explains this?
It looks like either Bush or Obama will implement another one right away and I want to be more educated for the next one.
I don't want to pay for anymore of these.

You're just a servant of the state, you don't need no justifications!
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.
Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

I know that they published the report of the bailout. I don't know where it is, but it was over 400 pages. It would be nice to have a spreadsheet or something with just names and numbers.

If we technically will being "owning" part of the companies being bailed out can't we FIRE someone. Or what about going after these guys and suing them then sending the big wigs to do some jail time. Realize I may sound a little one sided but I would like to know how a couple ideas from these big wigs to make money can make the worlds economy tank. As far as I am concerned something is wrong here.

Wouldn't that be great? Unfortunately I don't think we will ever get to realize that wish. And I have to say I agree. Only 5% of all the mortgages out there are in foreclosure/forclosed. 95% of the rest of us have been paying so I do find it a little hard to believe that this 5% of bad loans resulted in all this. Something is missing here and hopefully we will find out and not be lied to by the Govt. Yeah, I know Wishful thinking once again.

Sadly until the government creates policies that are a bit more strict on companies, things like this will continue to happen. You can charge them with fraud in some large manner, but charges like that would never likely stick because the system itself is too soft on any sort of large company.
Isn't capitalism great?

As awful as this sounds, get over it. You are in no poistion to hold anyone accountable or even know where it all goes.
The only thing you can do is help vote out the people in Wash DC that have voted for these bailouts.
Our local congresswoman who was just re-elected by 74% landslide was on the news a few weeks back and she told the reporter that she has no obligation to listen to her consituants, and yes she voted for the last bailout... grrr.... I did vote against her but alas I was far outnumbered in the "blue" county I now live in.Last edited by Denvergirlie; 11-12-2008 at 11:26 AM.
