Great National Guard ad (grab tissues!)
I saw this ad at the movies the other night. It's a National Guard ad and is so well done it gave me chills it honors soldiers and all they do including the brave sacrifices of the Revolutionary War and World War II. I thought it would be fitting for Veteran's Day. Enjoy !

What a great video !!! We sometimes forget what our sons and daughters go through when they become our heros to make our country free.Yesterday was a very proud but sad day for our family because we are the ones who had neighborhood boy killed in war last year and half ago. He was always at our house with my children I have known him since he was about 8 years old so he grew up at my house like many children from our block. What a brave young man he is for giving his life for us. My heart goes out to anyone else who has gone through this themselves.God bless all men and women who are fighting for us.

Ok now I'm trying to keep the tears and sniffles from taking over. That was a very moving video and song. Thank you. I can't imagine anyone putting down our troops for what they are doing.

My dd made a video when she was in Iraq and sent it home for us. It was amazing and the music she choose was perfect.....the photos were of local people and landscapes and what they saw and dealt with every day. Sometimes it seems so surreal that she was there.....I watch it every now and then to remind myseld of all those still deployed everywhere.
She and her dh are both National Guard and were both delpoyed to the same area, different bases, 7 miles apart.Stinkbug

Ok stkinkbug that picture of your daughter just made me cry! Wow these men and women are simply the most amazing aren't they? She just looks joyful and the way she is touching other lives is what we're all about as a nation. They are truly the best and the brightest among us no doubt. Thanks for sharing that pic I hope you're a very proud mama - you have a right to be!
