Cost of food going up/coupon value down

Gosh im gettin so fustrated with coupons. Food cost is going up so much, but food companys are putting out really crappy coupons, I remember when you could get a coupon for .35 cents of 1 certain product, double that would be .70, but now its like .75 of 2 or 1.00 off 3 and its sale stuff. We have 3 store around here,well within 50miles.if you dont count the mom and pop stores that are to start.We have KROGERS--- CUBFOODS---SCHNUCKS..

Krogers doubles .50.75. they will only double the first 5 and face value after that.
CUBS...tHEY TAKE COUPONS NO DOUBLING

Yep, I've been getting frustrated with the same thing. I have found that I have changed my buying and cooking habits accordingly. Where I used to get cereal for under a dollar a box, now I buy bulk oatmeal. Instead of cheap-o rice a roni boxes, I make rice a roni from scratch. I soak dry beans instead of buying canned....,.....

Yep I have noticed......I have been really disappointed with the campbells coupons this year.

Consider yourself lucky though none of the stores here double.

The best coupons I have gotten lately are direct from the manufacturer....by writing a little letter to them saying that I really like their product and then I request any coupons that they could share with me......I have gotten $1.00 off coupons from 5 places so far.

No store around here doubles coupons. I find more and more some I cant use because to by 2 or 3 items just doesn't make it worth it...sometimes it much cheaper to use store brands instead.

Another disgruntled couponer here! Our stores double, so all those $1/2, $1/3 coupons are prettymuch a joke. I miss the coupons that were .75 or .50 off of 1 item...such as Ragu, Skippy, Hellmans...

Yep I have noticed the same thing. It is getting so much harder to save money these days. I am just trying to be more vigilant about stocking up on really good deals.

My store only doubles up to $.99 so it sucks when I usually only have one or two coupons that I am able to double. However, today I did pretty well with my coupons. I got about $20 off of my groceries by using the store and the man. coupons. I was pretty happy since only one of them was doubled.
