Indiana newbie and de-lurker!
Hi everyone! I've been a lurker for a few months, so I'm thinking it's about time to introduce myself! Since I love doing surveys, here are my answers to the newbie questionnaire:
How did you hear about frugal village?
I'm pretty sure it was a link on another frugal site (but I don't remember which one) ~ I bookmarked FV a long time ago!
What interests you here?
Everything! Frugal living, simplicity, recipes, support, connecting with others, etc.
What will you contribute?
I hope that whatever I post, be it a recipe or words of encouragement or a strategy/tip that works for me, will be of some help to someone else!
Do you know any other members here?
no, but I hope to get to know other members
How many kids? Ages?
none and no plans for any (I'm childfree by choice)
Tell us about yourself.
I'm Nicole, I'm 32 years old, and I live in northeastern Indiana with my husband, Gabe, and our cat, Leo. I was recently laid off from my job of 7 years (data entry/accounts receivable); currently looking for work (not having much luck so far, unfortunately). Thankfully DH has a good job! With my new-found free time, I'm obtaining a certificate in medical administrative/billing/coding (online), volunteering at a local hospital and library, doing online surveys for a little extra money (there really are some legit ones out there!), reading a whole lot, developing new interests, exercising, looking into starting a crafting business (Etsy!), finding all sorts of ways to save money and live frugally, and excelling in the domestic arts.

student/domestic goddess/volunteer
Married or single?
newlywed! (married on 10/17/08, but we've been together for 4 years)
Interests and hobbies?
reading, music, movies, scouring thrift stores and yard sales, farmer's markets, yoga, knitting, sewing, general crafting, travel, hiking, biking, camping, gardening, Internet/computer games
