I love Red Snapper, and I ain't talkin fish either!!!

So, I have this lil horse, she is barely over 14 hands high but man can she destroy a fence in nuttin flat!! As long as she can get her head over it she will smash it into the ground for no other reason but to destroy something!!
Then one day, after fixing the entire fence after another Houdini escape on her part, just a few moments after I was finished spending the entire day fixing her fence I turn around and there she was, standing in the front freakin yard again!!
So, I took her back to her pen, locked her up and snuck around the front of the house where she could not see me and waited, watching her, to figure out how in the hell she was getting out of her pen!!
The fencing I put up was close to 8 foot high and I know damned good and well she could not jump it!!
She looked around for me, did not see me and (this is no joke) got down on her knee's and crawled out from the bottom of the fence where she had loosened it from the post and when it was just hanging there you could not tell it was detached from the fence post!!!
I jumped up and ran for her, yelling.....this is where I found out that horses do not crawl back wards well!!!
So, yesterday morning I went out to get some things out of my truck, brought them inside, by the time I got back outside to feed the horses she had already flattened about 90% of her fence!!! So, I spent the entire day fixing the fence and installing "red snapper" electrical fencing to it!!!!
I fed her last night right before leaving for work, stood there admiring our handy work and she walked over to the fence, tried to put her nose on top of it to smash it down and, "SNAAAAAP".....she went back to eating, and as of this morning she has not touched that fence again!!!
I love it when a plan comes together!!!

OMG! That is funny - I mean for me to read it and picture but not for you to fix it. Glad something worked for the little stinker!

Girl, I feel your pain, I have an Houdini pony that will do the same things took us forever to figure out how she was getting out. the regular hot wire would not stop her either we had to use the tape also. and had to rig her stall with a top and bottom wood latch plus the regular one. Crazy

but it keeps me on my toes

Someone asked me if she was bored....ROFLMAO

She is worked with and ridden regularly, she has her toys in her pen that she loves to play with, she just thinks the damned fence is a freakin challenging toy I guess.....but not anymore!
Went out to feed this morning and she decided to test it again.....bad move!!!
She'll get it, and in a few more days she'll never touch another fence so long as she lives heheheeeeeee
