Default What do you do when you're bored?!

UGH!!! Everyone has something to do and I'm home up here in paradise with nothing to do...every bit of house work is done, it's hunting season so no walks, I don't really like tv, and I have no reason to craft anything... HELP!!!!
What do you do when you find yourself in this situation???

My life's filled with projects :-) Try to find something MEANINGFUL to do, something that cannot be finished in one afternoon (like getting a degree, writing a novel, learning a language, doing volunteering work, memorizing the collected works of Pablo Neruda, etc.). Or do research on a topic that interests you. For example, if you like Jane Austen novels (replace by any interest you might have) you could read other novels from that time, find out how the British political system looked like during her time, study the Napoleonic wars, sew a empire style dress, write a Jane Austen blog, etc. A couple of projects like this can entertain you for a lifetime

TV and stuff like that do not kill boredom - they merely kill time. You sit there, staring at a screen, watching things that don't really mean anything to you. After an hour or two, you switch it off, and nothing has changed, neither for you nor for anybody else. Spend an hour doing something that's meaningful, and you are inspired, agitated, angry, proud, or ecstatic, but you will definitely not be bored.

I decided to go get yarn and crochet a stuffed toy for granddaughter. While I was out it started snowing, so I have a fire in the woodstove and music and now a purpose....Thanks all!

TV kills my boredom, if it's something good. I can always find something to watch...Passes time, yes, but I'm no longer bored

I have to say I'm never bored. To fill my free time -I read, study languages, scrub the never ending stinky rug, fix things, write, play online games. Lately I've been trying my hand at redoing one of those old step stool kitchen chairs..it's comming um..not as well as I thought, but hey I'm learning something from it lol

I felt like this a week ago. I still get bored sometimes, but I found some new things to do:

    Play online games
    Poker with DH
Going through my cupboards and organizing them
    Watch TV
    Write a book

I have part of a book started and when I can get my head straight, I work on that. Lately, it's been getting things ready for the winter because today was our second snowfall of the season. I also made some white chocolate cashew cookies, which were delicious! I had this idea in my head to learn to crochet again and make a blanket and a scarf or something, but it's been years since I did that.

Yep I read. On line or in a real book. If I am out of new books to read I look for fan fiction on line. Usually come across some great stuff. Also watch a good movie, watch the DVD extras for movies, draw, paint, write poetry and short stories, do Bible research and ride my horse.

    But I'm rarely bored.
You can go for walks during hunting season. Just go buy yourself a blaze orange vest and do your walking in the middle of the day. Most hunters hunt between 6 and 10 am and 5 and 7 pm because that is when the deer are moving. Deer sleep during the middle of the day so hunters don't bother. I rider horses on property that belongs to hunting organizations and the only day we totally avoid riding is the first day of rifle for deer as it tends to have the most crazies out and about.
