    Post high fiber foods...

i'm looking for more high fiber (naturally) foods.

i'm a little stuck - and tired of beans, rice, oats, grits & nuts.

i know there tons out there, but what are they!? lol

what types of foods do you eat that are high in fiber?

    thanks!

These sites have a list of high fiber foods:

    **Well shoot!**

I guess I haven't posted enough times to give you the sites I found. I didnt realize I have to have at least 15 posts before I can put links in my posts... So.... I just did a Google search for high fiber foods and came up with several great possibilities to get some different foods for high fiber.

Hopefully, you will get different ideas other than the 'same old thing'.

Just try to eat less processed and more natural, less cooked to death, frozen or canned veggies. Since you're upping your fibre intake you need to increase your liquid intake to help everything come out easy - LOL.

Dice up cucumbers, baby carrots, brocolli, cauliflower, peppers etc and them as a snack with dip and fresh fruits - apples, oranges, pears - not so much banana's.

There's some kind of a fad diet out there on the net from a while ago where it was marketed as a 'cleanse'. Um just eat less starch/meat that day and up the raw fruits and veggies along with water intake and let nature takes it course. Don't go too far from home if this is your first blow out LOL

    Sorry....I couldn't resist!

well i'm a vegan - so no animal products anyway.

"I" don't eat processed foods - tho i will buy them sometimes for family (as it's harder to make cheezits that they will eat! lol) I eat only natural foods and don't cook veg/fruits much anyway.

I'm fully aware of what eating a high fiber diet is like - i'm just recently stuck in what feels like a rut because i eat so many of the same ol', same ol' and just wanted ideas of what else i could eat for dinners mostly since i tend to just have a bowl of rice (w/herbs) or oatmeal or just beans.

    thanks for all the advice!

I use to eat Fiber One cold cereal with rice milk and raisins a lot and they also have those Fiber One bars but I am not sure that would be "natural" that you are looking for but it does have a lot of fiber. Potatoes yum does too.

I get stuck in a rut sometimes too and find myself eating the same things over and over. Have you ever made sweet potato fries before? That is really yummy and healthy.

I eat a lot of flax meal and nuts. Plenty of fiber in flax.
