Here is Sara's response in the thread discussing the debate forum - [ame="http://www.frugalvillage.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1046507&postcount=279"]http://www.frugalvillage.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1046507&postcount=279[/ame]

Here is the relevant thread, the more recent posts are to do with the current closure of the debate forum - [ame="http://www.frugalvillage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=106559"]http://www.frugalvillage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=106559[/ame]

Hope this helps. (And hope I've done the links right!)

    Was this it?

If so, it wasn't a thread, it was a reply to a very long thread - easy to get lost.
If you could kick in the pants the person responsible for your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit for a month.

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

It doesn't happen often. Each year there are under 10 threads deleted that aren't spam. Most often they are merged or moved.

Jamie, I merged it so I can keep debate forum questions/comments together. It's for my own ease of reading/tracking. I'm incredibly busy this week and don't want to miss threads. It's easier for me if I see a debate topic thread started to merge it versus having a few and possibly not replying to someone. My apologies for causing you to think it was deleted.

Do you leave redirects when you merge?

It was probably deleted and/or merged with the debates thread in the annoucements forums.

The debates thread is currently closed.

Not always. In this case, no.
