My Bed Just Threw Me on the Floor
So. It's approximately 12:50 or so. I'm on my bed, kind-of-sort-of attempting to sleep. My bed is one of those "inflatable/adjusting beds". It's on a weird platform system. One of my cats is insistent that he needs to be pet RIGHT NOW. So I sit up and pet him. He's on my shoulder at this point. After a few minutes, he climbs down my shoulder and walks past the dog. Cat backs up and does the "oh my god, I'm going to die" maneuver (the dog got his bluff in with this cat when the cat was a kitten). Dog barks and chases him across the bed. I grab cat and calm dog down. I hear a crunching sound and suddenly WHAM! I'm thrown against the wall and tumble onto the floor. All of the legs (which were plastic) had broken off from underneath one of the floor platforms. Now the mattress will be on the floor until we get a real bedframe and a boxspring.

I had to giggle for a quick second with the mental image of the animals going insane.
Glad you aren't seriously hurt. We had our mattress on the floor for almost 5 years, I just recently bought a frame that doesn't need a box spring so I share in your 'on the floor blues'.
I can't be out of money... I still have checks left!

Oh man, when the furniture is telling you it's time to buy new furniture...you're in trouble!

I thought you were going to say that the cat popped it with it's nails when it ran across it in panic mode!

So, your claim is the ANIMALS jumping on the bed wore out the legs, eh?
Suuuuuuure they did.. Blame it on the furry beasts!

Did you know that a 4 year student paying $20,000/year who finances their education graduates with over $103,000 in debt to start? But a student who works and pays cash and takes 6 years to graduate ends with $6,300 in their pocket! So much for "getting a head start by financing!"

Oh that was funny. I'm so sorry to laugh but oh man I haven't laughed like that in awhile. Don't you just love rowdy pets in the middle of the night? Reminds me of a time when our cats and dog had a party one night and knocked all of the pictures off of the walls in the living room and had bread thrown througout the rest of the house. Yeah they got into the bread on the counter and threw a bread party without eating it...they just decorated the house with it lol.
This thread deserves the "make you laugh" thread of the day award.
Oh and yeah it's time for a new bed lol. .
