Why Groceries Aren't Getting Cheaper
I came across this article about why grocery prices aren't falling with gas prices and found it interesting so I thought I'd share it with all of you.

I have seen a few things drop in price at certain stores. When everything sored, milk was $3.50/gal at safeway and $3.39 at BJ's. Now that gas has dropped down, Safeway has kept their price the same and BJ's is under $3. I don't buy as much at safeway anymore....

I stopped shopping at Safeway when I found I could cut my food budget by $400/mo going to Superstore. I went into Safeway one day and found the soy milk was $4.19 per 1.89L while it was $2.99 at Superstore. Needless to say, the only thing we get at Safeway that we can't get at Superstore is good coffee.

The prices of alot of things are starting to drop here. Pasta is back to $1.17 per 500g when it was $1.86 a month ago. Bread still hasn't dropped so I stopped buying it and switched to pita pockets. I just wish hamburger and hot dog buns would drop in price.
