Hello from Wisconsin!

So far, I'm having a great time looking around- still trying to figure out what all the financial goals mean below people's siggies.

Hubby and I are going to change our lives in a major way this coming year- we will be getting rid of our moneypit stick-and-brick and start traveling full-time in our 1983 Winnebago motorhome, along with 3 St. Bernards and one spoiled cat.

I was disabled in a work accident about 2 1/2 years ago and am no longer able to work. Since Sept I am getting a small SS check, but the sudden change in our income and the medical bills following my accident ate up all our savings and trashed our credit. Selling on ebay has helped string things along, but a few months ago we realized that the bills and the lifestyle that was possible with 2 comfortable incomes is no longer viable for us. We had to get our heads out of the sand and change course.

We love traveling, and a fulltime RV lifestyle seems to fill the bill in making our modest income stretch. I confess we got out of the habit of frugality (along with the rest of the country it seems!) in these latter prosperous years. I'm looking for help and ideas as we start this SCARY transformation (neither of us are spring chickens- I'm in my fifth decade and Bill in his sixth).

:welcometofv: Nice to have you here.
People put down their saving goals etc. so they are reminded of where they came from and where they want to go. When you can see progress being made in getting rid of debt it really helps you hang in there.
